BMS Belt regularly stocks skirt board rubber from 1/8"th all the way up to 1-1/2"thick. We carry four different types of skirt board to satisfy your every needs based on costs, environment, and applications.

• "Rock Rubber" Skirt Board - By far the most popular of all the skirt board options. Black in color, 60-65 Durometer (hardness), and 100's of rolls in stock and readily available from 1"wide to 48"wide x 50' long. Great for almost every application from providing an excellent seal on your conveyor systems, to being used as a gasket and/or pad material, or for the northern half of our country...excellent for snow plow blades 

• Premium "Orange" Skirt Board - Though not nearly as popular as "Rock Rubber", the Premium "Orange" is a high quality rubber that has has additional natural rubber additives included in it's compound. It does cost more initially but has an expected wear life that is 4-6 time that of black skirt rubber and in the long term can be considered a cost savings since less maintenance from the plant personel is required. Premium Orange is much softer than your conveyor belt, so you can be assured of an effective seal without the risk of damaging the covers on your belt.

• Combination Skirt Board - Though it can be used as a skirt rubber, we find that this product is much more popular as a scraper blade for home made belt cleaners or on V-Plows. It is a combination of the "Premium Orange" rubber in the center and 60 durometer black skirt board rubber on the outside. This "sandwich" combination of rubber provides excellent cleaning power against granulated, sticky, and washed material. This construction provides rigity and outstanding wear life. Note, that if used as a belt cleaning edge, the rubber must be mounted so that it protrudes from it's support no more than 1.5 times it's thickness in order to prevent it from bending during service.

• Polyurethane Skirt Board - Considered one of the most resilient skirting available, it will out lasts all rubber AND has 60% less drag on the conveyor belt. This translates into less energy to drive the belt, less wear on the belt cover, and consequently extended belt life. It is available from 3/8"th to 2"th, widths up to 12", in MSHA flame retardant formulas, and can be supplied with beveled edges.
